When Xinming said he would not take care of Shen Chuchu, he did just that. As a matter of fact, Shen Chuchu also did not want to see her manager after their argument.

Before the shoot, Shen Chuchu contacted a makeup artist, stylist, costume designer and assistant by herself and even rented a car.

On the day of the shoot, She Chuchu went with the team she hired to the designated location. This location was no other inside the Han Group itself.

The advertisement was not just a photoshoot but involved motion as well. Her acting skills had already risen to four points so she should be better than before but this was not the case. Shen Chuchu could not figure why but she always felt uncoordinated in some places.

In other words, she knew how to perform but her movements failed to keep up. She had never felt like this before and was able to perform the movements in her head in the last two advertisements she had shot.

At this point, Shen Chuchu already had an answer in her heart but was still unsure and suspicious.

Naturally, the director was displeased and continuously instructed Shen Chuchu to repeat the movements.

When Shen Chuchu was getting dizzy from the director’s instructions, a harsh female voice could be heard, “Haha! This is the new representative for the new product? Where did this newbie come from? I’ve never seen her before and the acting is so clumsy. How did the Publicity Department manage to hire someone like her?

When these words came out, all eyes focused on her.

All the workers at the Han Group greeted her one after another.

She is only a small-time celebrity and even came by herself so her own company must not respect her. I don’t even know how she managed to come to the Han Group for a shoot.”

“Yeah, I really don’t understand what the company was thinking. Look at the quality of the shoot. Once we put it out in the market, it probably won’t even sell.”

Shen Chuchu stared at the woman who spoke and felt as if her whole purpose here was to bring destruction to the Han Group. From start to end, she had been shunned all around and even by her manager who wanted to seize her resources due to this advertisement. Here at the Han Group, she was now looked down upon.

To be frank, she still had not figured out why such a good opportunity fell on top of her head. Which was particularly hilarious, especially since everyone else was also wondering how she managed to land this opportunity. Wasn’t that funny?

Shen Chuchu could not figure it out but this opportunity belonged to her. If the Han Group wanted to back out now, they would need to give her a large amount for compensation as per the contract.

Shen Chuchu did not have a soft character and if she did not reply, it would seem as if she was lacking in confidence.

“Naturally they chose me because I am young and beautiful,” Shen Chuchu said confidently and held her head high. Fame and acting skills? Sorry but she doesn’t have those things right now. So she will have to use outer appearances to attack back. After all, the opposite party did look way older than her!

Everyone became silent and they looked at Shen Chuchu then at Gao Anqi.

Upon hearing these words, Gao Anqi’s eyes squinted. She knew it, the reason was that face! Others didn’t know how Shen Chuchu got this opportunity but she knew it all too well. The reason she was picked was completely irrelevant to image as the others had said. It must have been a direct order from Mr Han!

She already found it weird when Mr Han picked an unknown small-time actress so it could not have been that simple. And today, from the way she spoke, she was convinced that they had some kind of relationship between them. What nonsense about in line with the image or young and beautiful.

When she joined the company, she was an elite who had just returned from her postgraduate abroad. Shen Chuchu’s expression turned slightly cold but she continued to speak, “There are always certain people who are not as beautiful or young as others and have to put others down by saying stuff like that.

Before the angry Gao Anqi could speak another word, Shen Chuchu quickly continued, “So who are you? You should know that I signed a contract with the Han Group! If you aren’t satisfied, then go ahead and find a replacement but don’t forget to pay me the penalty fee tenfold as per the contract.”

The contract was a million and the penalty fee was tenfold so she could get ten million! It was worth it even if she did not end up shooting the advertisement.
Gao Anqi coldly stared at Shen Chuchu with disdain. Why else would she dare to argue back? She must have got that demeanour from Mr Han.

“What does an unpopular actress have to be so pleased with herself. You are just a dodder flower* who cling on to men. Get out if you don’t want to shoot the advertisement!”

After getting told to get out a second time, she could no longer hold her anger in!

“You want me to leave? The staff at the Han Group are truly terrible! You invited me for a shoot but I am mocked in all aspects. Everyone heard what she had said right?” Shen Chuchu looked around at everyone and continued, “Fine, I don’t want to shoot. If the Han Group doesn’t give me a statement then I really won’t shoot. I am still an individual even if I am not famous. How dare you violate my reputation.”

Shen Chuchu did not say these things blindly either. If the Han Group had carefully chosen her out of thousands then they must have seen something of value in her. Whereas this General Manager Gao must have been unable to change the higher-ups’ decision which was why she was here to ridicule her. This person wanted her to leave on her own accord then it must mean that she did not have the power to make her leave. If this was so then it just made the situation even more interesting.

She noticed that it was all recorded by her assistant.

Shen Chuchu lifted up her clothes and walked in front of the assistant then said with a smile, “Send a copy of the video to me. You did well today that I might hire you as my assistant on a long-term basis. My future is very promising as you can see so just follow me.”

The assistant was a temporary hire and was very excited at the prospect of a long-term position, “Okay, okay, I will send it to you right now.”

Shen Chuchu got her phone and looked at the video then waved it in front of Gao Anqi.

In an instant, Gao Anqi’s face turned bad.

At this moment, someone came in and said to Gao Anqi, “General Manager Gao, Secretary Wang is looking for you.”

When Gao Anqi heard this, she stared at Shen Chuchu for a moment then walked out. Once she stood outside, she could see two people standing in the distance.

Han Xingyan wore a neatly ironed dark grey suit without any trace of wrinkles to be seen. From a rear view observation, he had broad shoulders, a narrow waist and long legs. He could be easily mistaken for a model by someone who did not know him when in actual fact he was the renowned CEO of the Han Group.

Han Xingyan faced backwards to the light and his long shadow cast down on the floor.
